Alba Sustainable began with a simple idea rooted in my childhood in South India. Growing up in a region where coconut trees are part of everyday life, I saw firsthand how coir — a natural, renewable fibre — could be transformed into durable, eco-friendly products. That early exposure shaped my belief that sustainability doesn’t have to be complicated; it just needs commitment and the right materials.
After moving to Scotland, I noticed a growing demand for sustainable alternatives across agriculture, horticulture, and packaging. That inspired me to bring the rich heritage of coir craftsmanship from India to the UK market. What started as a personal passion has grown into a mission: to source high-quality, responsibly produced coir products that help reduce environmental impact while supporting traditional manufacturers back home.

Today, Alba Sustainable connects these two worlds — the natural resources and skills of South India with the sustainability goals of the UK and Europe. Our story is about bridging cultures, protecting the planet, and offering products that are as genuine and hardworking as the people who make them.
